  that it's "jewel-ry"... and not "joo-lery" (may you all have peace!)?

  i know, i know... very small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.

  but, dang, if you're gonna host a television jewelry show, shouldn't you at least be able to say "jewelry"?

  Near SLC, UT where I grew up, there is a nearby Wyoming border town called Evanston. With liquor laws being as they are in Utah, the rebellious utah youth were forced to make the drive to Evanston to procure things like kegs of beer, malt liquor, and illicit fireworks.

  for some reason Evanston was always pronounced "Evingston".

  History repeats itself. I moved to the Pac NW 12 years ago. There is a coastal Oregon (Or-eh-gun, not Or-a-GAHN, BTW) town called Warrenton. I always seem to hear it pronounced "Warrington" for some fool reason.

  There is a popular Portland brewery called Widmer Bros. You will almost always hear someone at the bar order a "Wind-meer".

  I used to work for a brewpub chain called McMenamins. People are always saying "McMenimums".

  Brits also say "Al-loo-MIN-ee-um" for "Aluminum" and "BAZ-il" for "Basil". I've always heard it pronounced "BAY-zil".

  "Expresso" instead of "Espresso"

  Let me try again - ever been sitting around with a used car salesman when a prospective buyer walks out on him?

  Sure. Still has a negative connotation. When the "off the hook" term is used these days, it's to make something sound awesome.

  Ever been fishing?

  Sure. All the time. Generally when a fish gets off the hook, that's a bad thing.

  "This party is off the hook!!!"

  I just don't get it.

  Misuse of their, there, & they're and your & you're

  When people say or type "then" when they should be using "than". Example:" My milkshake is better then yours."

  "Samwich"

  " I seen it"

  "You could do it. I know you could"

  "Baby Mama (Daddy)". I have a special hatred for this one. Anytime, really that people refuse to use an 's on the end of a word. "She hate me", "how she move", etc.

  Cant stand the expression "Off the hook". What does that even mean?

  Some Brits shorten "brilliant" to "brill". "That concert was brill."

  Overuse of the word "Amazing". "That blouse is AMAZING". Come on now. Is it really amazing?

  i asked her who told her that as i knew the school would not have covered that subject , she replied " nobody told me , i just know it "!

  i have heard that children have a better memory of that kind of thing but i was still amazed !.

  I tend to not put much stock in such ideas, however, I have had a very vivid recurring dream my whole life, beginning from the time I was a very young child. In this dream, I am on a battlefield, bare-chested, painted with blue designs, sword in hand, fighting Romans. I look very different than myself, but somehow i know it's me. The dream is always so intense in that I can smell the blood in the air, feel the cool misty air on my skin, and feel the point of the centurion's gladius as it pierces my throat. Everything then fades to black.

  The dream is the same every time. I knew nothing of celtic or roman warfare or history when I was 4 years old.

  Can't say it's proof of reincarnation. All I know is that a little kid can't know about all those details, so I'm not sure how those images and dreams got into my head at such a young age.

  Has a very poorly dog.........

  bit of background info..... we have a neighbour who is a complete psychopath, she has tried to get us evicted, turned neighbours against us, bad mouthed us to our visitors.. last year our dog who is a jack/staff and is very healthy started to go downhill.... lethergy, depression, vomiting bile, coughing.

  we took her to the vets who ran loads of tests on organ failure, cancer etc and they all came back clear.

  he repeatedly asked us if she could have eaten anything.
